InSight™ Image Analysis is an advanced imaging system designed to enhance routine Balanced Mix Design (BMD) testing. As today's asphalt mixtures become increasingly complex with RAP, polymers, fibers, rubber, and other modifiers, traditional load-curve data alone doesn't always capture the complete picture. InSight combines high-resolution imaging with AI-powered analysis to reveal how asphalt specimens deform, strain, and crack throughout the test—giving engineers a deeper understanding of mix performance and greater confidence in their results.

Unlike research-focused imaging systems, InSight was developed specifically for routine asphalt laboratory testing. Dual high-resolution cameras, integrated lighting, and intelligent software capture both sides of every specimen during testing, producing synchronized video, advanced strain measurements, and visual analysis that complement traditional BMD data. InSight is compatible with major BMD testing frames from InstroTek, Humboldt, Troxler, Pine, Controls, and Matest, making it easy to enhance your existing equipment.
